The Ombré - With a Wee Bit of Balayage

So many new and exciting things to try.  One of the looks that "please my eye" is the ombré. So many effects borrowed from the past, this one reminds me of being young young young, watching Space 1999, and seeing Linda Grey's hair completely different colours on the top and the bottom.  I must have been 7?  8?  Already hooked on hair colour.

Then into my teens, an 80's band (who I can't for the life of me remember! I thought it was Berlin, but no dice on a Google-search) - and a woman with the whitest of bleached hair, and black ends for the bottom 2" of her hair.  I *so* wanted that hair.

You can imagine how excited I was to have the opportunity to give this a go.

This ombre uses high lift blonde with 2 formulas (one with lightener added) and a number of balayage pieced in to break up the hairline, and that extra bit of sun.

I'm still revisiting colour techniques.  Trying to do it on a shoe-string budget is helping me to re-learn the back-door tricks I used way back when. So excited for hair successes.
